Fiberglass Pool Applications

Complete Tooling System For Plugs
Our sprayable machinable putty and sand able primers create a durable, high gloss, porosity free, chemically resistant, thermally resistant and dimensionally stable plug to make beautiful molds for your next pool project.

Complete Tooling System For Molds
Our high Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) tooling gel coats and high HDT non-shrink tooling resins produce precise and robust molds with a long service life.

Pool Gel Coat
We offer an ISO NPG gel coat formulated specifically for pools that resists water treatment products, has excellent UV resistance, is porosity free, and is very resistant to hydrolysis.

Choose from one of our many colors or provide us with your RAL, NCS, or Pantone color code so we can deliver your custom color. Multiple metal flake additives are available to give your pool gel coat a unique sparkly look.

Lamination Print Blocking
MATLINE is a low density core material used for print blocking. It's commonly saturated with resin and applied between the skin laminate and bulk laminate. It is also used as a lower density core material in place of reinforcing fibers to increase the laminate stiffness and physical thickness at the same weight or to retain existing stiffness at a lower weight.
Matline is highly conformable during laminating due to extra perforations that speed wet out and encourage drapability. It's easy to use and handle, and won't tear after saturating with resin. Matline is available in thicknesses ranging from 1mm to 5mm. The minimum recommended thickness for print blocking applications is 2mm.

Barrier Coat
Are you infusing your pool and want to skip the labor intensive process of applying a skin coat while retaining excellent hydrolysis resistance and cosmetics?
Apply one of our barrier coats in a thin layer between the gel coat and laminate, our VE or ISO NPG barrier coats offer an excellent barrier against hydrolysis and osmotic blistering with an improved gel coat surface appearance, limiting fiberglass print-through.

In case you didn't know, hydrolysis is any chemical reaction in which a molecule of water breaks one or more chemical bonds in gel coat or resin. The gel coat and resin in a fiberglass pool may experience hydrolysis over time. It's not possible to entirely avoid hydrolysis but it can be significantly slowed by using VE or ISO NPG gel coats, barrier coats, and skin coat resins.

Pool Resins
Whether you're chop spraying, hand laying, vacuum infusing or light resin transfer molding, we offer Vinyl Ester, Polyester, and hybrid resins that allow you to meet your design objectives.

Nidaplast Honeycomb For Pools
Nidaplast honeycomb core is commonly used as a lightweight stiffener for the flat areas of pools such as the floor, sun shelves, ledges, sides, etc.

Nidaplast Impact Performance Video
It's amazing that the only difference between these two sandwich panels is the core. Nidaplast honeycombs offer more impact resistance than any other core we're aware of.

Composite Reinforcements
We offer a full range of Saertex products to allow significant weight reduction, energy savings, enhanced stiffness and corrosion resistance. We also offer chopper gun fiberglass roving and chop strand mat.

Vacuum Infusion & LRTM
If you're infusing your pool, we supply Diatex's full line of high performance infusion products.

Structural Adhesives
We offer structural MMA, Epoxy, and Cyanoacrylate adhesives whether you need a 5 minute or 50 minute working time, 25% or 125% elongation, custom color, custom viscosity or thixotropy, or need to bond to unique materials.
